I love the sparsity in this piece and your other work. I bought your book last year and it has been a great help in teaching myself how to screenprint. I came to your website wondering if you might have written an advanced version on the topic. It's nice to see how you use screenprinting in combination with other techniques. I am now trying to push my boundaries within screenprinting.
How nice to hear from you, Laura! Thank you for your comments and I'm glad my book has been helpful. I haven't done an advanced book yet, but I've included some advanced ways of working on my blog in the past and also have a demo on my website, where you can roll out a heavy layer of black waterbased relief ink (heavy enough to block out light as a photo-emulsion stencil), draw an image into it in a way that removes ink and opens up lines, etc. You'll find step-by-step pictures on my website, which you can reach from the top of my blog. I hope you'll let me know if you have questions and if you try this. It is a great way to add fluidity to screenprinted images.
