Newfoundland Structures

I've been to Newfoundland twice for month long artist residencies. It is a harsh and beautiful place. During my second visit, I took pictures of abandoned homes and outbuildings overlooking the ocean along The Straight of Bell Isle. These were probably lively sites when the fishing industry was active. But a moratorium had been in place for years because of industrial overfishing and even families who had relied on fishing for their only income for generations had to give it up.
