Etching by Kenji Ushiku

Here is the lovely, small etching by Japanese artist Kenji Ushiku (born in 1922) that Joe snagged at the swap this weekend. Beautiful, delicate.

  1. My goodness, what a find. I notice the birds are perched only on the perimeter of the tree - not sure why I find that so interesting, but I do. They ring it.

  2. I think it is a credit to the artist that the unlikely-in-nature ring of birds works so beautifully.
